Client: World Vision South Africa

What we did? The project was to assist with the Turnaround of World Vision for it to become a self-sustaining organisation by 2020. Tribal provided change management and organisational design expertise as well as training leadership on how to handle and manage the change. Staff communication and Board alignment.

Client: ABSA

What we do? Provide change management and strategy alignment for the separation of Barclays from ABSA Africa. We also provide change management & IT Services.

Client: WESBANK GROUP IT

What we did? Symposium project – for the provision of change management resources & Salary amortisation for over 500 staff members. Our role was to ensure that staff impacted bought into the new salary structures they were given as a result of the Employment Equity Act. We did a lot of training to managers on how to handle the process. Appointed 5 change managers during this process.

Client: Hollard Insurance

What we did? Introduction of automated process flows for Claims and Policy Maintenance with Hollard Broker Markets & the Provision of Change & IT resources. This was an 18-month project where we were appointed to get buy-in from over 2000 staff members across the country and ensure alignment with new Hollard values.

We also provided change management services to support rollout of Hyperion across Finance and the Realignment of IT services.

Client: Standard Bank

What we did? Appointment as a service provider for all change management requirements including resourcing. Assisted with all change management requirements as and when needed within the Standard Bank group.

Client: Malawi Revenue Authority

What we did? Transformation and Modernisation of the Malawi Revenue Authority to meet its new 2020 mandate. We were appointed to lead the change management aspect of this journey. Project impacted over 6000 staff across Malawi.

Client: Old Mutual/ Mutual & Federal, South Africa

What we do? Organisational Transformation Project
Involved in managing the transition of Mutual and Federal staff into Old Mutual. This involved culture alignment, benefits realisation, communication, leadership alignment and stakeholder management.

We are also a preferred supplier for change management services.

Client: South African Breweries

What we did? Project Kopanang – Implementation of SAP SD in ABI
Project Description: SAB recently acquired ABI and the main purpose of this project is to implement the SAP Sales and Distribution solution within ABI so that they are on the same reporting platform as ABI. Tribal was brought onto the team as a Change Management Specialists and our role was to align the people and culture of ABI with the changes in processes, systems, structure and strategy taking place within the whole of ABI.

Client: Egypt Airlines

What we did? Tribal played a pivotal role in training and change management support for the rollout of SAP across the airline’s operations.

Client: KPMG – City of Johannesburg

What we did? Programme Phakama – Development of Customer and Revenue Management Value Chains. The objective of this programme is to implement uniform Revenue Management and Customer Interface services throughout the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) and setting up a New Service Organisation that will be responsible for this. As the Team Leads for the Change Management Stream, Tribal was responsible for the development and implementation of the overall change strategy, the communication and stakeholder management plans, change impact assessments, climate surveys, identifying and maintaining the change network and designing the future culture framework for the new department. We were also involved with coming up with the migration strategy for the following affected entities; City Power, Joburg Water, Pikitup, Valuations, GIS, Revenue and Customer Relations Department.

Client: Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA)

What we did? The project was to review and re-align ICASA’s strategy, business processes and design new structures in alignment with the Convergence Bill which was to be promulgated in April 2006. This Bill sought to bring Telecommunications, Postals and Broadcasting under a single regulatory authority. This project was sanctioned by the President of South Africa, as well as the Minister of Communication. Tribal provided Project Management and change management role for the A & D and Implementation phases.

Client: Barclays Bank

What we did? Business Process Realignment Specialists.
Barclays Bank International aimed to take over majority ownership of their banks in 12 African countries. The project was initiated with the aim of assessing each country’s compliance with Basel II, an international banking standard. From this assessment, we came out with a business case that gave a good estimate on how much it would cost Barclays Bank to implement the full Basel requirements in each of the 12 African countries. Tribal created templates that would be used to collect country data. Mapped out all the required data elements required for a full Basel II compliance. Collected data from all the 12 countries and mapped it against the templates created. Created a report outlining Basel II system gaps in each country.

Client: Vodacom

What we did? As part of Vodacom’s e-port vision, we were commissioned to establish a Business Portal for Vodacom. This Business Portal will go a long way in: Improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Vodacom by automating and optimising the internal and customer facing business processes; Increasing collaboration (mutual sharing of information and thoughts) with customers and other important stakeholders. Improving the manner in which unstructured internal content (specifically documents) and organisational knowledge is managed (i.e. harvesting, storage, workflow, security, etc). Tribal provided Change Management services. We worked with internal Vodacom staff members to establish an e-culture through change readiness and project awareness strategies that would guide the project. This included communication strategies, governance, organisational restructuring, staff re/training and workshops. We also worked with the Content Management team and we were responsible for preparing the functional specs and taxonomies for the B2e portal.
